The truth is, DEI failed. Big time.
Good news? We didn't. Here's why.
Most DEI spend budgets go towards language & policy, not culture and bottom line. And even the so-called inclusive "HR hiring" policies keep our people stuck in low levels.

So we get diversity without inclusion, jobs without opportunities, representation without power, policies without change.
​
A big problem is that 99.99% of so-called "DEI Experts" treat DEI like a charity, not a business. They don't have a clue about how DEI can be used to create revenue by unlocking markets that specifically empower QTBIPOC communities all over the world, so for them all impact has to either be social or barely economic, but never productively both.
​
So we ask theoreticians with more PhDs than business know-how to effect change when their best and only tool is "inclusive language" and not sustainably profitable impact-making.
​
Then we wonder why initiatives fail. Which is all the more ironic because they're only launched when tragedies strike and media attention is gratifyingly high, and they're just as quickly killed when public attention flatlines as fast as companies' so-called "commitments" die. QTBIPOC deaths have become a business strategy for most; they get clout from DEI hype and get away with yielding zero results because "intention" and "engagement" are the new success metrics of the performative.

This is why where they settle for crumbs—we bake the whole damn cake.
